I attempted to blog from work today via email. This is how the post turned out:
Once upon a time, the vast majority of my blog posts were composed at
my office. Then I switched departments and my workload increased.
Another setback: Blogger is now blocked by web-filtering. When I try
to visit the site on my office computer I receive a smug corporate
messages telling me I've tried to access a "personal website" and that
I'm a very bad person with a crooked spine, no soul, etc, etc.
But I've recently discovered a sneaky little work-around. Apparently,
I can publish posts not only at blogger.com but also via email. Aside
from a quick test the other night, this is my first attempt. The
biggest drawback is that I can't re-edit posts once I hit "send" in
Gmail. So if you notice more typos than usual on the blog, you now
know the reason why.
I can't promise this will increase the number of weekly posts about
Craig T. Nelson and/or dog poop around here but it can't hurt. Here
goes...
I guess I still have some bugs to work out.
